COACH CROSS AWARD
Beloved Coach Dwayne Cross died in an automobile accident on October 11, 2008. In honor of Coach Cross' life and contributions to our organization and the community, we will present an award in his name. In his memory, The Coach Cross Award will be presented annually to a coach who displays outstanding service to LYS and the children of the organization.
Congratulations to Coach Vince Feitz for winning the 2009 Coach Cross Award.

2010 COACH CROSS AWARD
In recognition of the coach who best demonstrates outstanding commitment and service to the children of our organization and community.
The votes have been counted and our League President and 3/4 Grade Girls' Coach Kevin Schmidt is our 2010 Coach Cross Award Winner! Michelle Cross and her children, Emily, Jacob and Jonah, presented Coach Schmidt with the award on May 21st. The time he devotes as a volunteer is immeasurable and is repaid in full only by the smiles of the children and the evidence of personal growth and skills development he brings out in the girls that he coaches. His enthusiasm, passion for soccer, sportsmanship, and genuine love for our children and the league have been blessings to us. Thank you, Coach Schmidt, for your faithful service.
LYS FALL CAMP NEWS
Registration is now closed.
Initial reports show a 20% increase in participants over last year's camp so we are looking for more coaches. Please contact Julie at 784-8518
if you are interested in a head coach or assistant coach position.
If you have already registered your child, please bring him/her to Newton Park on Thursday, September 9th at 5:30 p.m. Teams will be assigned then. Do not expect coaches to call prior to the first night of practice. All players must have shin guards. Cleats are recommended but not required.
